What is fine print

A trust layer for people with food allergies who want to use cosmetics safely. Add the allergens you need to avoid — like nuts, milk, eggs, wheat or sesame — then check any skincare or makeup product to see if those allergens are in it. Save the ones you trust to come back to.

How to use
  1. Add your food allergens
  2. Check a product to see if your allergens are in the ingredients
  3. Get a clear answer for every one
  4. Save the ones you trust to come back to
Ingredients
  • Your food allergen profile
  • Saved products you can come back to
  • The 14 major food allergens as the standard
Benefits
14 allergens on food. 0 on cosmetics.

In the EU, every food label has to clearly flag 14 major allergens like nuts, milk, eggs, wheat and sesame. Cosmetic labels don't have to do that, even though the same derivatives turn up in your moisturiser, lip balm and shampoo. fine print is here to close that gap, so your cosmetics can finally be held to the same standard as your food.

Our standard

The source is the allergen. If a product contains an ingredient derived from one of your allergens, we flag it — refined or not. Whether to trust the refinement is your call.
